Upcoming changes at Dermatology Affiliates, by Rebecca Squires (Assistant Practice Administrator )

nextech_blog_image_350_300_c1_c__1 We are excited to announce that starting August 14th Dermatology Affiliates will be using a new electronic medical records system. Recent government regulations require doctors to collect and store more information about patients electronically. Our new system will enable us to meet those requirements and offer our patients more ways to interact with us in the future. We have been upgrading our system for several months now, and are looking forward to implementing it in all three of our offices next week.

What does this means for you?

– Our offices will be closed on Monday, August 13th and Monday, August 27th as we train our staff and implement the new system
– We will have reduced schedules for the rest of August, but will resume our regular schedules in September
– Patients will begin using our new Patient Portal to enter and update their demographic and medical information before their appointments. This site is confidential, secure, and HIPAA-compliant. Patients will be sent an email with instructions on how to access the portal before their upcoming appointment.
We appreciate your patience as we complete this transition process in the next three weeks. We hope that this transition adds to the efficiency of our office. We look forward to serving you with systems that make it easy to do business with us.
