This old saying holds truer when it comes to your skin than anywhere else. An ounce of sunscreen can prevent unsightly brown spots, wrinkles, and worst of all, skin cancer. It’s not just time that puts wrinkles and spots on your skin; it’s exposure to sunlight that causes the damage over years and years that’s at the heart of the problem. You can call them age spots or liver spots or freckles, but at the end of the day, they are sunspots. If you don’t want them, put on your SPF 30 every single day on any exposed areas, and prevent the sun from aging your skin! 2. Preserve!
Retin-A everyday keeps the wrinkles away! Unless pregnant or nursing, topical retinoids can be your skin’s best friend. Gradually stimulating collagen, creams containing retinol (over the counter) and topical prescriptions with stronger retinoids fill in fine lines and wrinkles over time. For those who can’t tolerate retinoids due to over-dryness and irritation, topical products with growth factors are an excellent, gentler option.

Stick-it to wrinkles with Botox or Dysport injections. The lines between your eyebrows, commonly known as the “11’s” or “hockey sticks”, form due to continued eyebrow squinching. The washboard effect on the forehead comes from repeatedly raising the brows. Crows feet come from squinting and smiling. Over time, those wrinkles that only show up with facial movement become permanently fixed on your face. Preserve your youthful smooth skin by stopping those permanent creases before they start.
Erase developing dark spots with IPL. IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light, and it is a light-based procedure that blasts off brown blotches and splotches. This in office procedure can help keep the sun damage of yesterday from becoming the dark spots of tomorrow.
