What is the GentleWaves® LED?
GentleWaves® also called Photomodulation, is a gentle, non-invasive laser treatment that encourages the production of collagen by stimulating cells. This is achieved through the use of Light Emitting Diodes or LEDs. This procedure makes wrinkles, fine lines, brown spots, and scars less noticeable.

GentleWaves® stimulates the skin by releasing light pulses to targeted areas to stimulate the production of collagen. In a short amount of time, this treatment reduces fine lines caused by repetitive facial movements and blocks enzymes in the skin that destroys collagen during the aging process. GentleWaves® LED Photomodulation is suitable for all skin types and is typically used on the face, neck, and chest. The condition of the skin and how much of it will be treated are factors that determine how many treatments will be needed. Typically 10 treatments are administered, and there will be mild improvements after every treatment. Treatments may be performed every three or six months once the condition of the skin improves. To combat future aging, continued treatments to maintain the skin’s condition are needed. Because of the flashing lights GentleWaves® is not recommended for people who suffer from seizures

GentleWaves® is often used in conjunction with other treatments and greatly compliments microdermabrasion and laser resurfacing procedures.

GentleWaves is safe for treating all skin types, even those with sensitive skin.
Some patients may experience mild and temporary redness after treatment.
There is no downtime with GentleWaves treatments and you may resume normal activities right away. While undergoing any light-based treatments, daily use of sunscreen is strongly recommended. We recommend avoiding any aggressive or abrasive treatments including waxing for 48 hours before and after treatment.
